My windows arent tinted - I have the Fiat Sunshades, which most people on here have on their cars. There are dark black 'Sunshades' and give a tint 'efffect'. Check them out here.

With regards to a sporty look, there are a few things you can do without going overboard. I for start would get the 'niggles' sorted out and gran a set of the 17" Blades (in black) and get a set of the sunshades and it will be more than enough as the stilo is already a nice car to look at.

You could also lower it but i wouldnt go overboard, maybe a 30mm drop on Eibachs. Also on mine, I am having the black bump strips colour coded, which I think will set the car off a bit. But at the end of the day its always down to personal preference.

With regard to lowering, is that something that you would have to declare when you insure the car and they ask if its had any modifications? If yes, then does it affect the premium?

Looking into those sunshades now, thanks for the link.

Absolutely yes. Anything you add additional to the car that wasnt there when it came out the factoy, should really be declared on the insurance. So if I was you, before you do anything, I would get several quotes from multiple companies, for with and without modifications. The alloys should be fine as they are a factory Fiat Optional Extra, but maybe someone else can shed extra light on this.

The sunshades are awesome, and give a great look to the car for not much money at all.

EDIT: How about a badge-less grill? Here

Thats not my car but the skirts are the standard abarth and the grill you can make from your original theres a guide on here or a few websites sell em.

Hey how come your son is not on here doing this. Get him to sign up (y)

Good point! Once he has passed his main test and hes actually out there driving the thing I think he will take an interest and be on here, esp when he comes up against an issue that I cant resolve. There is also a younger son who wants to get a Stilo as soon as he has passed his test, HE will be the one who wants all the extras.

Well I dont fit the profile of the average person on here, but I do love my car and I know what my sons like and would enjoy. I like helping them to achieve those things. I can also think of far worse things they could do with disposable income than embellish a car so perhaps there is part of me that wants to encourage something more positive than some of the activities their peers may be engaging in, if you know what I mean. I never had a car in my twenties, I lived right in the centre of London and there was no need for one, so maybe I am also making up for that now lol.

Bit off topic here but do you consider your car male or female and do any of you have names for it? I havent christened mine yet.

My Schumacher I have been Known to refer to as a She but if i think about it i actually think of her as a man. I call him/ she Schumi

My Old yellow one was Def a She although it was named the Big Yellow Banana.

I have car gender issues
