reprogramming keyfob

i have my beloved 98 bravo hgt and 3 keys... 2 blue with remotes and the red key and code, now both remotes have stopped working on the blue keys.. i've ordered a new 3 button remote fob, how would i go about programming it to lock/unlock my doors..? and would it be possible to just put my transponder into the new fob to start the car..?

also how do i know if the alarms on or off when i have no key for the switch in the fuse box compartment... could i get 1 or could i just join the wires at the back

Procedure on here and FF. Just search. However I can tell you now the 3 button key you bought wont ever work the alarm. You can however start the car aslong as you remove the immob chip from your old key into the new key.

Definately no need for name calling Mike. Why am i a coward? For giving sound advice? The reason it won't work is because the bravo alarm blue key doesn't have 3 buttons. Its a single button. Therefore It's not compatible. Alarm and remote central locking is not going to work from that key. However like i said swap the chip over in the key, you'll atleast turn the immob off and start the car as long as the keys cut right.

But back to topic,i didnt know that.I must have read and thought it wrong cus im sure jug off FF has posted loadsa times that you can get the remote key working (as ppl have asked how to fix it). BUT if im wrong then fair do's

You can use certain Punto, Coupe and Marea keys on the bravo because some of they use the same system. But not the 3 button key which I assume is from a Stilo or Fiat 500.

I don't sign in or put my name sometimes because I'm either browsing on my phone or don't have the time. As per other genuine anon users I guess.
