Greetings... I recently acquired a 2000 Multipla JTD 105 and love it. The turbo has a squeal and the down pipe has a leak. Here close by is a 2002 115 that is being scrapped with a much lower mileage turbo and a good pipe.
If I take everything from the exhaust manifold back, will it all just "fall" into place? From what I can tell the turbos are all the same, so if I use manifold/turbo/pipes it hopefully should fit. I found a wonderful video on JTD turbo replacement (on an Alfa) and it looks like a couple of hour process.

ANY advise you have is truly appreciated!

I don't think it will work. The turbo on the 105 is not variable geometry, but it is on the JTD 110 and 115 (for these, it's a Garrett GT1749V). The control required for them is different, so the ECU on the 105 probably won't cope with the later turbo.

That said, I can't say this is a definitive answer - others here may be able to tell you for certain. I do know that when I bought my turbo, I was told that one for the 105 wouldn't fit my car (a 115).

ECU is different and thats the main problem, because put newer turbo is not a problem, but to control it, thats the tricky. I don't say thats it's not imposible, but it's not a bolt on way

So I guess I will be looking for a 105 parts car. I don't see myself changing ECUs or reprogramming a turbo controller. :/

Try searching for 701796 (probably with a '-5000' on the end) on google / ebay. That's the Garrett part number. The JTD 110/115 use the 712766. If you put your VIN into the forum ePER, you'll be able to get the Fiat part number for the turbo as well. It's also worth checking the pictures you find to make sure that the inlet/outlet stubs are pointing in the same direction as your current one.
