my 1999 punto got broken into for the third time in four months last night...am just unlucky or are these cars targetted for some reason? i leave NOTHING on display so god knows why they do it.

i paid to get my car door patched up and a 1 new lock fitted (but bought full lock set).

can i use one of these other locks to replace the one i just fitted which is now broken?

do you think fitting an alarm will be a good enough deterant for the people that seem to break in for fun?! really want to prevent this happening monthly...:(

I have been there too. I think that the Puntos with standard key locks are known to be easy to break into ,unfortunately.

Cant you like alter the locks?
line inside of door with stainless steel about 5mm thick it will work harden so they cant drill though it due to nature of what they are trying to do
that's if there is cables they pull on to open

perhaps going with a full remote opening system
