Hi, I'm replacing the diesel filter on my '02 115 JTD tomorrow as the current one has sprung a leak. (Drips fuel from underneath on very cold mornings - the pipe joints all look fine so I'm assuming the filter casing is fractured somehow!?) Any tips from anyone who has done this? I imagine it's a case of unbolt the existing one and bolt the new one on and the system will prime itself on starting?
Cheers (y)

The same thing happened to my Multi - the plastic drain knob on the bottom of the filter had cracked and caused a leak.

Very simple to replace - just the way it appears. When the new one's fitted, just turn the key on and let the pump fill the filter. Then you're ready to go. Hopefully!

just twist off the fuel filter anti clockwise, two rubber seals on the top of the filter, the filter will self prime when you turn on the ignition, easy and you should have no problems, Regards keith

Yep, job went fine, thanks, took about 10 minutes! But you didn't mention the electrical connector (attached to a screw-on unit on the bottom of the filter) that has to be disconnected before you can spin the filter off. Don't they all have that?
No more leak anyway :slayer:
Cheers,
Simon
