replaced S 2 headlight -not working??

Hi, have replaced the headlight of my daughters Grande Punto (07 plate) following sammclean23 guide (very useful) but bulb which was working in the damaged headlight (snapped fixings after bump) not lighting up in new headlight. I seem to have matched up pins on electrical push in connector as will only go on one way. Any ideas as to why bulbs not lighting up ( otherside coming on ok) ???

In addition to above info, think the problem might be that the push on electrical plug to the headlight wont push in all the way, any help with this or folk experienced same problem and how they resolved it???

Getting desperate now daughter needs the car asap

The answer turned out to be very simple... The cars electric plug in connection has a grey band around it, this has to be gripped a slid to one side to allow the connector to fit on to the back of the headlamp and fully connect with the electrical socket on the back of the new headlamp. Easy when you know how doh! Hope this post helps somebody else in the future, but for me its panic over and one happy daughter
