replace wing mirror?

i pranged the wing mirror this morning!!
Ouch!
Bent the hard plastic frame so the mirror is at an angle and pulled away from the frame.
Is it easy to replace with a new one?
or need it prfessionaly done?

Its faily straight forward but a new mirror from Fiat will be about £60. Let me know if you need help as I am generally dismantling mine at the moment to see how things work!!!

Is the mirror itslef knacked or the mounting plate or both as you can get them seperatley, and also it is a electric mirror or manual as the former may be more expensive.

its a manual mirror,
the mirror itself is sound
but its the plastic moulding thats come away slightly
and bent up at an angle

someone suggested a heat gun or hairdryer to heat the plastic and push back into place?

It started with a rubber covered knob

In reality they come off really easy. Take the rubber off the control knob inside the car. You will presented with a round thingy with 3 or 4 cut outs. Get a screwdriver and whack this ring round anti clockwise.

Prise off the interior triangle with said screwdriver and you will see three (I think) screws or bolts. Get someone to stand the other side to catch the mirror as you unscrew it and it falls off.

Off in under 5 mins. you can then p155 around with the bit you splanged or buy a new one for £56

Alfanige do you know the part numbers for the wing mirror mounting plates as I did post a thread about 2ish years ago with the part numbers and can't remember them. If I speak to my local dealers they keep saying that its all one unit, but one of them TOLD ME that they can be bought sepratley. DOH!!!!

The internal plates are available seperately, but the outer one isnt listed
