Renault Clios....

and what happens? I mean to cause a fire....

live wire insulation gets damaged by the holes and shorts out against the bodywork. Then either the battery could explode depending on type, or the wire will get hotter and hotter, eventually causing the insulation around it to catch fire, then cause other flammable items close by to catch fire aswell - before you know it, burnt out clio/corsa/saxo.

Similar to this clip. Not really a short, but his wiring is too thin for the current load - same effect as a short - wiring heats up, starts to smoke, insulation catches fire...

IIRC, the Mk1 V6 Clio was prone to spontaneously combusting too, but not sure why.
