My rear washer isn't working, the motor is working, i have tried to clear the jet with a pin to no avail.

Next thing I want to try is to see if its blocked where the pipework joins the jet.

Can anyone help?

"No one?" is a good sign and means they don't block often

Ok Had a blockage on a different car and the blockage is usually at the reservoir end.

So I removed the washer pipe from the pump at the reservoir then prised out the rear washer jet.

Then disconnect the pipe from the washer jet -now be careful here as the pipe will retract into the boot leaving you a lot of work to strip out interior panels if you're not careful so hang onto the pipe with your life-then i simply blew an air line down the pipe from the boot end

Then, still holding onto the rear pipe, connect the front pipe up and let the washer pump water through until it's clear
Then connect up and refit the rear jet- DON'T LOSE THE PIPE!

10min fix if you're lucky

I may be talking through my windscreen washer
here but it may be the pump. If they have used
one pump like on the punto for front and rear washer.

An internal valve changes the direction the water
flows depending on polarity of electrical feed.
You will still hear the pump but no water.
Mind you the water in therory would be coming
out of the fronts instead.

Thanks for the help guys, i'll give it a try over the weekend and see how it goes

Hi, I hope this isn't a thread hijack but I have a related problem in that my rear washer pipe got blocked and seems to have blown off the back of the jet as, to my dismay, I have some blue stains inside the car from washer fluid not going out the damned pipe.

Can anyone help me understand how to get the boot panels off to get at the washer fitting so I can clear and reconnect? I have a Stilo cd-rom manual that shows to take out the screws from which the parcel shelf hangs but it doesn't clearly show how then to get the panels off to get at the washer fitting. I'm scared of breaking the fittings by pulling hard in the wrong direction so would well appreciate some advice/drawings if anyone can oblige.

Many Thanks!

Still no joy on this, its clear at the pump end, plent of pressure when I removed the pipe for both front and back washers. Can't get the rear jet off though. I have trried prising, spinning (in the hope it was a bayonet type fit) but alas no joy, am I being too gentle???
