Removing Stereo

Need a little advice

I bought a 155 HGT Bravo a few weeks ago now and I have finally got round to installing an aftermarket stereo but I have just realised I don't have the code card for the current Fiat one? Is this going to be a problem? I was hoping that Halfords or someone could fit it but if they don't have the code can they?

Any help appreciated.

the code is only for the factory fit headunit,

when you replace it you wont need the code, the new headunit will have its own security features totally different to the fiat one.

only time you woudl nbeed the code is if you ever put the original fiat one back in or maybe tried to sell it on?

Hey thats great news I was thinking they would need the code to REMOVE ht head unit. So Halfords shouldn't have a problem removing it and installing an aftermarket one?

you only need the code if you disconnect the standard HU and then reconnect it so yeah halfords will be ok they won't have any problem

Thats not strictly true, make sure they are wearing their shoes on the right feet....
