Probably stupid but....

I don't want to state the obvious, but isn't the wiring attached to the bulbs, and so will just pull off the back of them?

Or have I missed the point?

Re: Probably stupid but....

they go into the back block yeah, but i can't work out exactly where on the block to pull (it looks as though halfway is the point, there is a lever or something there, but pulling it just didn't work).

or am i just being thick? :)

thnx

headlights

Theres a metal clip that holds the blubs in place within the headlight.
Lift up the plastic cover at the back of the headlights, then just unhook the metal clip, it's very easy to do. Then remove the bulbs and wiring, (careful not to touch the glass of the blub) and you should then be able to remove the headlight.

Re: headlights

cool! thanks, will try that tonite :)

Re: Re: headlights

Having just looked at a headlamp, I can see there is a black plug that has to be unplugged. This has a sort of metal clip embedded in it, accessible only at one point. To unplug this clip you have to push the metal wire towards the centre of the plug, i.e if you can get a finger and thumb around the clip, you squeeze. Once you've squeezed the clip, it pulls off.

Difficult to explain, but I hope it helps!

Re: Re: Re: headlights

yay! got them off, but frickin have to pull hard enough, those ball joint things are a right bugger!

anyway, put the light tinting film on, makes a subtle but noticeable difference, but my god that was the hardest job i've ever done, damn curved lights :)

cool, so now the fronts all tinted, the side repeaters are darked, the rear lights are sprayed and the windows are blacked out.

all i need to do now is practise some drivebys :)

thnx

Re: Re: Re: Re: headlights

And avoid driving past any police cars, obviously...

Are you agrophobic?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: headlights

yea the first few days was a bit nerve racking but now i'm used to it, no problems yet... even had a police car pull up next to me with no problems.

the car does look pretty cool though, espec with all the badges taken off :)

just need my alloys now and a rear spoiler... oh, and possibly a new (lower) suspension... and exhaust... :)

WHEN WILL THE SPENDING STOP?!?!? ARRRGHHH!
