Removing Gear Knob - Mk2

Hi all

Ho do you remove the Mk 2 Gear Knob ?? abnd is it possible to shorten the gear knob and still use the "lift reverse" ??

you yank and twist it, and it will eventually come loose.

however, LIFT-UP ? i thought all bravo's pushed down for reverse? my two so far have... as does me mums punto.

the Mk 2 has a lift up control on the gear stick, enabling it to go in reverse, hence me confused.....push down would be so much easier !!!

I shortened the stick on my old punto was soooo much better. if its easy enough to do on the bravo (i have lift up reverse too) I may get round to it

mine wasnt lift up or pull down, it was just below 5th. Why do Fiat have no consistency?

My MKII 80sx is also lift up. You can not shorten these as the lift up mechanism will be shafted.
Just remove the old one by giving your knob a good pull and replace.
