Removing fenders

Hello everyone just joined the forum because I am just seeing my first fiat 124 spider up close. My neighbor bought the car and has asked me to rebuild it for her. The floors are gone except for the frame rails and the fenders have some nasty past history. I am an American hot rod guy and have never seen fenders attached like these. How do I get these off ?

There is a section that caters for these 124 models..

Most users are US based.. as the UK climate saw them turn to dust years ago
