My new head unit has arived at last but im still waiting for the facia so in the meentime i was wondering whats an easy way of removing my existing head unit its a Blaupunkt cdplayer (in a punto) and has them four holes in it.

halfrauds universal keys? or a wire coat hanger (cut the two corners off) pushed in as far as they will go. should pull out, although the coat hangers proved to be difficult for me :p .... was told to use a coat hanger too

I just use a knife in each side...works everytime! Am in same postition-waiting for the fascia, but my question is..does fascia go on before or after the after HU? Sorry if it sound silly..but im imagining put in HU and hook that up, then stick on the fascia? Soz for hijacking your thread btw :eek:

Your going to want to put the fascia on first because if you think about it, the hu cage is going to need to be fitted into the fascia and the hu will only go one way through the cage.

The order i usually go in is, attach the cage to fascia, that way you can get behind the fascia and make the cage is all nice and secure, then fit the fascia (making sure you pull all the wires through) then connect wires to hu, and place hu into cage.............jobs a gooden
