General removing body mouldings

How do you safely remove the outer body mouldings on a 91 Super.
Getting the car ready for a respray so need to get these off.

If you remove the plastic plugs or screws from the rear wheel arch they will just slide off, as will the others too.
Slide not pull or push, if you break the plastic fixings they cost a bomb to buy if you can find any for sale!

If they're a bit stiff and won't budge a gentle tap with a rubber mallet should see them off - and back on after the respray!

Which way do you slide them?
Up or along?

A-pillar to the front ( I'm not 100% sure)
Doors towards front as well,
Rear wing - towards rear.

front wing mouldings slide towards back of car, doors ones slide forward (only once front ones are off) rear ones need the small plastic gromets removed from arch 1st by way of a small flat screw driver ,however they cant be slid forward as one of the fixings doesent slide (this ones is hidden beneath the super badge) ive found if you use a flat edge thin screw driver behind the moulding around the badge area the fixing will loosen and then when off the front fixing slides forward!:bang:
