My Ipods away getting fixed, so I'm having to listen to the radio in the car cos theres a tape stuck in the tape player.

Anyone know how to free the tape without taking the whole thing apart?

I don't think it's possible.
I tried everythink I could think of.
Had it done at a service. Let them foot the bill if they f**k up the unit.
They fixed it though, but said it would be a good idea not to use the tape again. By that time I'd had the CD changer fitted so didn't need to.

I remember having a record player for LP's in my car, bloody needle kept jumping when I went over bumps:)

I bet that you had a Philips V2000 instead of VHS too. And you bought a BSB "squarial".

Remember them??!!

If it's the standard radio, get your thumb nail under the button and push hard and lift at the same time. The button moves a 'bar' across the radio to a switch on the opposite side and gets a bit of slop in it.
