Hi all,

I bought myself one of these Chinese sat nav radio replacements. It's a complete unit that also replaces the top buttons for alarm lights, city steering etc.

I got the radio out, but how do I remove the top buttons? Anyone got experience with this? I can't seem to find a decent fitting manual.

Hi. After removing bottom radio portion, there are 4 or five screws holding the cage in . Then the whole unit clips out.

IIRC a lot of screws... 7 torx screws :

Not sure the torx size, if you can indicate me ? And not sure if you have to remove all this screws, but I think so.

Thx! Really helpful :)

Now for the next challenge: the wiring. Connecting the new sat nav to the existing connectors doesn't work. The radio doesn't turn on. The sat nav also comes with a canbus adapter with some loose wires, see photo. Do I need this for my 2010 Punto evo and if so, how do I connect the loose wires?

Would be interested in what this looks like done and the link for the radio itself

Just connect the adapter on the right of the picture. You dont need to connect the other wires. Canbus is needed

Hi . I have one of these units in my Evo, but the radio reception is rubbish. AM and FM. Would appreciate your thoughts on this. Have installed a Dab box to try and compensate for this.

Everything else works with steering controls, blue and me, vol, src, etc...

It's because antenna amplifier is not working anymore. Radio unit send "power on" to antenna integrated amplifier via CAN bus. After market unit don't.
But search forum and if necessary open your thread, one thread = one problem, it's easier ;)
