Hi guys, looking for a wee bit of help here...

I have bought a 2 din aftermarket HU to fit in my new (to me) bravo. While waiting for it I thought I'll make a start trying to remove some of the trim, so when I get it everything should already be accessible.

I'm struggling lol

My previous, 1.2 Grande Punto active, the trim was quite flimsy and came apart no sweat at all, so expected the same with bravo, WRONG!

so tried removing what I could, and honestly, didn't get very far. Glovebox removed, and 2 screws on right panel out, I pulled and tugged, and loosened a couple clips, but then couldn't get anything else off ? am I missing something?

I wonder if anyone here has step by step images/video, on how to remove, and maybe some idea, how much I will need to remove in order to access and fit my HU... I've tried searching and scouring Google, just can't seem to find much info, and don't want to pay Halfords over £50 for something I know I can do myself (managed just fine with the Punto lol)

Any help or advice you can send my way would be much appreciated, thanks guys, Andy ?

Isn’t it just a case of sticking the pins into the slots in the HU and pulling it out?

To get the trim pieces off around the HU you should check the guide on changing the climate control unit bulbs: https://www.fiatforum.com/bravo-guides/308785-replacing-failed-bulbs-heater-control-panel.html

Again I’m not sure that removing any of that is really necessary to change the HU mind you

Thanks for the reply dude... Had a bit more time on my hands today, so went out and persivered...

Some trim needed removed, as the unit I installed has dab (so separate aerial feed through passenger pillar) also a GPS module, and a microphone +usb, aux etc so needed to feed a good few cables to different places...

It was a lot of faffing around, and as I thought, the bravo is just held together a lot more securely than the GP was, with a lot more torx screws to remove for each panel lol but some persistence, and I got there lol now to put it all back together lol

to replace de HU you don't need to remove anything else than the old radio unit using the special tools.
then you can place the GPS and DAB aerial on the dashboard next to the light sensor and send the cables from the HU through the glove compartment.
I did all that and didn't remove any plastics or anything else. The most difficult was to guide the reverse camera cables, front the dashboard into the rear.
If you bought the right HU, such as this, it's a plug and play job.
