Styling Removal of black side skirt sealant???

Hi, when I first got my grande punto the side skirts were just hardly secured onto the car.. I got the garage to re fit them but they used some really thick horrible looking black sealant. I will upload photos of it today. The sealant is coming off as it was clearly not water resistant and I was wondering if any of you guys had any tips on removing it without damaging the paint. Hi there, to get your skirts off without damaging your paintwork try using a hairdryer or light blasts of a heat gun. What you want to do is heat the sealant so it becomes less adhesive and then use a bit of card or plastic to scrape away the sealant from the paintwork. It will leave marks from the sealant used but continue to heat it and it will scrape off. Be careful not to damage your paint by heating one area for an excessive amount of time.
