you have probably been asked this question loads of times so im sorry for being thick ive just got a multipla jtd there was no battery in the key blipper so i put one in but car wont lock/unlock with blipper will with key everything else ok and works fine is there a thing i have to go through like ignition on hold button for 30 seconds that kind of thing or does it have to go to the garage ?Also i have a button on the dash that says lock i assume this would lock the doors that doesnt work either would the 2 things be related? any info would be great thanks

I had a similar problem. You might want to split the key case and check the micro switch (very small switch normally soldered by 4 legs to the PCB) that is operated by the button on the key fob. It has a habit of breaking off and sitting in a dark corner of the key case! therefore making the key U/S.

BTW, if you find that the micro switch has broken and want another please PM me. I have several.

the lock button on the dash switches off (or locks) the rear electric windows so the rear switches do not work when you have lids in the back

thanks for your help guys with regards to the key the button works as the little red light comes on when button is pressed but i dont know how long its been with out a battery or if the vehicle battery has been took off and i need to reprogramme the key to the car.Also are there any meets going on in or around worcester as it would be cool to meet other members of the club

disconnect the battery for 15 minutes ,it worked for me ,good luck
