Remote locking installation

Hey, newbie here,

my bf is installing a remote locking kit in my car and he's got all of the right wires for the central locking system but he wants to have a live wire and doesn't want to start stripping and testing cables, can anyone suggest an easily identifiable positive feed for us to look for??

well you can use any permanent live. Use a 10amp inline fuse to connect to source. Live is usually red in colour. can be tested with a cheap meter or a 12 bulb. Push a pin through the centre of the wire and test with ignition off
