Hello to you all...
I have a problem with the remote control in my key. It just stop working. When I press the button, the LED on the key flashes briefly with very poor lite (which you can see only in dark), but it won't turn off the alarm or unlock the door. I tried to replace the batteries, check and clean the contacts, but that didn't help. The key has inside the chip PIC16CR83. I turned off the alarm below the wheel, with the little black key so I can alt least drive it. I also have a spare key which works but it is not programmed in to the alarm and I don't have a four digit code to programme it. Could I get it somehow? Does the code card contains it?
I have a fiat brava 1.6 16v 1998, with the original alarm.
What should I do?

Also having this problem.

Fiat Punto Mk2 wont open with remote control or disable/enable alarm.

Had to open car and set alarm off to get inside it.

Disconnected the battery, then reconnected it. Still no joy. Remote's still not working, and everytime battery us reconnected, the alarm goes off.

Have tried spare remote and new battery. And have disconncted my amp which I thought was draining power.

Tried pulling fuse out (F39) for the alarm still went off.. pulled out every fuse one by one, alarm still goes off upon battery reconnection.

I'm thinking I have to re program the remote or something so its paired with the alarm? Its the factory fittedone.

also u mention of a black key used under the wheel to disable the alarm? whered u get that key from?

thanks

I have got the little black key with the car.
If you don't have the pin code for the alarm, you can't reprograme it.
Try to get autodata, you can see there how to reprograme it.
