Remote central....

hey everyone, i bought a Bravo HGT yesterday, and everythign is fine, expect the remote central locking and alarm. central locking works normally on the key. the remote battries are fine and when i bought the car the bloke said its something to do with a black box up by the fuse box..??

does anyone have an idea on what he is talking about or what can be done to fix this??

you may have to get it programmed in.. my dads rover central locking works and the battery's fine in the key fob it just doesnt work.. asked about it in work and one guy said it would have to be programmed in? hope this is of help

Check the manual as i know on both my dads Vectra and his Leguna they can "forget" the codes every now and then.
You have to put the key in a certain position in the ignition and press and hold one of the remote buttons and it sort of re-calibrates the two to work again.
Works fine afer.

Always happens when the remote batteries are changed.
