***Remote Central Locking***

Someone was talking about how they want their car to have remote central locking, found this on Ebay:

Is his fitting instructions accurate? is it that simple to install this remote locking unit? would it suit the 80sx models? if so reckon im tempted

yes its as easy as he says. i fitted it to my mk1, the glove box might not be quite the same on teh mk 2 though, maybe someone can confirm, does it have the panel at teh top that just unclips with a couple of yellow relays behind.

Does it need to programmed to the ECU, as don't have the red key for mine.

Never done it, but since this has come up about 10 times since I have been using this forum, I would agree that the instructions are accurate.

no, its a stand alone unit that replaces your existing key activated relay with a key adn remote activated relay. You simply locate teh relay, pull the old one out and push the new one in.
