Taken delivery of these 145R13 Malatesta off road tyers from Tyresdirect just what I have been looking for they are remould imported from Italy priced at £130.00 + delivery £18.50 might be of intrest to 4x4 owners I'v gone for this size and hope to keep front mud flaps on and not rub through fuel filler pipe at back when car is full up. The director of this company has said he is going to bring in 155x13 in a similar style. contact No 01582 585845

did you ever consider autograss tyres (m&s) made by maxsport and sportway far cheaper around 30 quit ??

I have a set of 4 "greenway" from Colway but the went under and cost about £30 quid and spot on with delivery. Kingpin not intrested at all. All I got was wrong time of year and it a odd size:yuck: The other company you mention did not know they existed? This supplier very keen to provide a good service, I'll see how they wear bound to be softer that brand new tyers. I have some to collect in Germany when I go over so I can do a test and see which is the better, just lucky I go one's a year to see relation and friends. I would say these would be the making of RAT even the tyer fitter rmembered this pattern and siad how good they were for off road/tarmac(y)

no they are heavy they will be made from a soft rubber compound. Ihave had to put onto my fiat alloys that was just to stand at side of what are already on the car they do stand taller at the moment, so I will have to take the front mud flaps off until some rubber has worn off over time. I'm getting the other two fitted early this week and will have them on at the weekenf and take some pic's. Then on with the last two projects on the Trekking I hope some nice spot lamps on the bullbar to replace the poor chrome ones I have on at the moment. and a somthing I going to do at the back but I'll keep that to my self for the moment unless it does not look good(y)

That is the only thing with these remold tyers no way are they going under the hood even at this size  I'll have to wait to see what the brand new tyers are like in Germany when I go in september to collect, these also came from Italy but would only ship to Germany:cry:

OK sunday is the day if the rain stop then the wheels/tyers go on. Will some before and after photo's my grandson has booked the day with me to do some Panda work with me(y) never to soon to start I'v tod him he is my tool man:) On a side note could I ask for a measurement from the top of the rear wheel arch to the road and tyer size you are running on as I think Linda's auto may have some week rear coil springs:worship:

First of all, sorry to those who are tyred ;) of this topic but I have a new question! I am considering the Malatesta from Tyres Direct for this winter and I know some of you have these and are happy with them. However, the site makes it clear that they are not E rated and therefore, as far as I can make out, not legally sold to go on the road. So my questions are, have any of you had problems getting these through an MOT and have you considered whether they would void insurance in the event of an accident? Tyres Direct also have Fedimas in the right size. Anyone with any experience of these?

Haven't had any problems with mine while in use, and it passed it's last mot with them. Not tested the implications as a result of an accident yet, but an interesting question .

Mine have also been through two MOT tests, even told the insurance company they had no issues. What you have to remeber is what boots you have on your car! If you drive fast these tyers are not for you. On wet roads you need to go at a slower and you do not throw your panda into a corner you will slide out. Just use common sence. I have had them on my 4x4 Trekking and CLX for the last two years with no problem. In snow they are super.
