Just a quick reminder to folk to check out Peter James for their classic Panda insurance.

Not everyone gets a good price, but if you fit the right risk they are well worth contacting.

I sent a couple of people across to them at the Nec, who were having valuation issues with certain other classic insurers. Not only did they have no issue with the agreed values, but they saved a chunk of money too.

I like their service - no automated switchboards, and proper people who are clearly classic car fans. You say what you need and they send out the paperwork. (y)

Just got my renewal through, and it's gone down £24 despite there being another car on there (surely not another!?! ). Considering a Coupe 20V and Panto are on the policy, the average of £56 a car is pretty good. I think a standard Panda is probably costing me £40 a year (fully comp, agreed value, unlimited mileage, no garaging restrictions, and breakdown cover). :slayer:

Needless to say there's no point me ringing round & I'll just renew in a few weeks time (also they send the renewal a month ahead unlike all the other insurers!).

End of commercial, no commission involved (sadly). ;)

We're with them too, brilliant! (y)

I've found a drawback Vernon - when I first went to Peter James I had 2x 127's. Something seems to have gone screwy since then :nutter: as there are definitely more than 2 cars on my renewal documents?!

Yes I think we're on about 8-9, but as you say some of these can be quite high powered.

Yes it doesn't seem to skew the prices too much having something quick on the list. (y)

I thought I'd introduced a rehabilitation programme this year - not cold turkey, but a one out one in policy. Clearly this didn't work as I ended up with an extra car on the classic policy & a mk3 Panda on a second "normal" policy. How the heck did that happen??

Do you need to employ someone to keep you fleet in check?? Hint hint ;)
