Panda (Classic) Reluctant owner

Hello all, I am a 17 year old female and getting a classic Panda soon. This is a forced relationship (I think my dad has a thing for them  :nutter: ) but I am secretly a bit excited .

Bought Pippin (see my signature) for my step-daughter's 18th birthday, last year. She's currently learning to drive, and is also excited...! (A work colleague of hers was bought an A3, at the same time. Thankfully, the homewardette has been brought up properly, and thinks her Panda waaay cooler...!) :D

You'll soon get addicted to the wee thing... -- although it is one of the perils of having a generous, but slightly insane, parent.... ;)

Anyhoo: welcome; and have fun (and post some piccies... we love piccies...)! :)

Welcome along, I don't have a Panda but manage to get my fix borrowing other peoples ;) . I hope to get a Panda myself one day (y).

If you do get tired of it or don't like it can I have it? PLEEEEESE.

Was hoping you were the enthusiastic, generous, but embarrassing Dad in question Bob. If not, it's time you got your daughter a Panda too! ;)

For what its worth Po, I bought one a few years back thinking OH the shame. However I loved the thing, You can chuck them about the road and give them 100% of abuse and they come back for more. And if you keep it looking old no one will nick it. (y)

SHHHHHHHH its a secret ;).

You may recognise 'Po' Gavin, He's a lovely shade of light blue :p

Hi Bob, I see you're no longer Scout500, could this be because a 500 is no longer the only Fiat in the family? :D

Welcome to the Forum and Classic Panda ownership Katie

A Classic Panda won't do everything for you like a modern car does but it will teach you far more about driving and car ownership. Their little idiosyncrasies will take a little getting used to but once you've overcome them and bonded you'll have far more fun than your friends, and look ten times cooler! . (y)

You are correct Vern, I use Scout on other forum sites too so it made sense. The original owner of scout never posted so I've hijacked it :D.

All home safely (y) , Katie has already enjoyed one of the pleasures of classic car ownership, when we were in a supermarket car park after getting lunch, a lady approached her and said that she was very jealous as she used to drive a Panda years ago and had loved it  Katie's smile was very wide ;) . She managed to drive 50% of the way home with only a few minor hicups (My hands were not shaking at the end, anyway :slayer:)

I am glad to say that my wife loves the colour  so alls good (y)

Are we meant to be guessing, or are there pics to help us identify Po? ;)
