Brava relay

First posting: On my 2001 Brava just under the battery, there is a tin box with only one small relay fitted. Next to it, a larger vacant open socket exists. There is no covering on it, making me think there is a relay missing. Any idea's what could be missing and it's use. Cheers Geoff North east England.
