General Regata missing check straps?

Hi I have been looking about and found my Fiat Regata is missing the check straps (I think they are called) off the front doors. When you open the doors they dont stay open like the back ones do that have these I think. They just keep moving freely. Where Can i get some of these and what do they actually do? Can I put them onto the doors myself? I tried to find a picture of the missing part but none on the Internet.

Please help me?

I could give my VIN number I guess I have no idea about what part number it would be.
