REG Prob

Hi,
Just rang my insurance to get my gf a policy on her new Cinq. Problem is that i gave them her reg and they said it was a sporting 1108cc.

Its not its a Cinq s 900cc?
Is that a prob with the insurance or is my gf's car a ringer?

Is there anywhere i can find out without spending loads on a check thing???

Come out as a 899cc. So really dont know when the insurance company got it a sporting 1108cc from.

Had the same problem when I purchased my Stilo. Mine was the 1.6 Dynamic, but insurance co had it as an Active (I know it not that much difference, but it would have been a big difference when it came to pay out for any accidents).

When I queried it with the insurance agent, he said that sometimes the feed they get from the DVLA is wrong (or has the wrong infomation). As long as you can prove that the car is what you say it is (by the info on the v5) and you advise the insurance co of these facts, then they should be able to amend their systems.

If you text check followed by you reg to 87202 they will send you 3 texts with all the info you need on the car pretty useful actually

whats listed on the v5? it's not unknown for the wrong info to be passed to the dvla, there was a bit of this recently with the new pandas
