Red Key and code card

Hi all

I've got the red key for my Bravo (1996 P reg) but haven't got the 4 digit emergency code. When I used to work at a Fiat garage, I'm sure this could be obtained by paying Fiat for it (and you also get your radio code and other info too), but I also remember the mechanics using the red key and a combination of turns to initiate the car to tell you what your code is, by flashing the key light several times then pausing between each of the 4 sets of flashes, then you would know your code to start the car if the immob goes wrong.

Anyone know this?

Also can you start the car with the red key if there's an immob fault or do you need the red key and the code if there's a fault?

Regards

Andy

i think the red key is used to program new blue keys and the sequence of pushing the accelerator pedal and turning the key is for if the car will not recognise a blue key. If that makes sense

This is all in the manual I believe. I'll have a look later.
