Anyone know any good software to do this?

My mate (honestly its not me, I'd just use Limewire) wants to be able to record sound that is streamed from the net. I've used software in the past but cant remember what...and I guess someone on here must have software to do it.

Can anyone reccomend anything?

Cheers (y)

Any program that can record audio should do the trick, such as Cubase, Sonic Foundry or any other sound editing/ recording application.

Once you open the recording program you need to ensure that the recording source is selected. Open the system volume control feature and click on advanced, and then you should be able to select the input source.

I'm running a Creative Soundblaster that comes with its own software and volume control feature though it's similar to the standard Microsoft Volume control. You will probably want to select the source as 'Wave', as that's what will be coming from the soundcard. My volume control also has a record select option of "What you hear", in other words whatever is being played through your speakers will be routed to the recording program. Select that, play radio program, press record and job done (y)
