Hi all
I have just received a recon power steering unit from BBA-reman (great service and quick delivery) and had the broken unit out ready to ship back.
Unfortunately I didnt look at the picture of the recon unit closley enough and now realise I need to remove the steering shaft with the ball joints and what looks like will be more of a problem the ignition barrel plastic cage thats held on the bracket by 2 bolts with conical heads.
Is it just a case of loosening the bolt to pull off the steering shaft?
How do you remove the ignition cage bolts and if they have to be drilled off were can you get replacements from.
Any help would be great as I need to return the old unit in 10 days to avoid an extra £70.00 payment.
