Hi All
My (2009, 60k) Bravo has no drive to the recirc flap in the climate control. After driving a steamy car for a few weeks I got some great help here and figured the problem is the drive gear sheared (the recirc flap in the inlet is loose with no drive).
I've now put a long screw down from the top of the housing to fix the flap open so the problem has gone away. The other flaps all seem to be working OK at this time.
I was wondering if anyone has actually replaced that top gear for the recirc flap which is apparently a dash-out job. Would be good to have it working for the summer to chill the car down quicker.
If so, is it necessary to disconnect the aircon? I don't mind a long job, but we're in the middle of nowhere so getting the aircon emptied/filled is not so easy.
Thanks Stuart
