is it just me, or has the auckland weather been really ****e for building unos ...
in a week i took my old red uno and the white one i fixed apart and rebuilt it totally, so now it has a perfect body , apart from one or two white panels on a red car,
but amazingly the engine and carb has just ticked over a amazing 100,000k which is not bad for a '86 mk 1 engine
from the origional car i also used cv,s, radiator, cluch, gearbox, 2 wheels. drivers door, bonnet, roof lining, dash, seats (Front and back), seatbelts, carpet, boot lining door trim and loads of others ... apart from little rip in drivers seat the interior is as new
next job is to get a flange gasket to stop the exaust blowing, and a bit of sealand at the very base of the gearbox as it just doesnt stop dripping. but then again it is a uno....
pics will be up shortly ..
Oh and its gonna get a respray, i was thinking enzo red, and should i color code the bumpers or leave them black? and should i spray them a gloss black as that would be MEEAAAN
