Technical Rear Wiper Motor has packed in :(

Hi all, finally got round to having a look at the wiper motor of my 1000S. Ive opened it up and found all the inner workings of the mechanism clogged up with horrible brown gunk, obviously some wayer has gotten in and mest the thing up..
I've tested the connection to plug and i have power there, and was wondering can anyone hazard a guess as to why the motor is not working????

Ive unscrewed the motor housing and the motor looks in good condition - no sign of being burnt out.
Is this a common problemm and how can i go about repaiing this one?

perhaps the switch has gone... but if you have power at the connections that would rule it out


Take all the cogs and mechanical bits out, just leaving the motor. Perhaps with mechanical bits ceased up the output shaft of the motor wore down under such stress, and the motor runs fine, but is not connected.

I've never heard of one of these packing up before, although the one on the 750L has slowed down and sound's like its straining when operated.
