Technical Rear window anti pinch fault + other stuff

On my stilo 5dr the rear elec window on driversside has a new trick. When it usoperated either from the drivers multiple window control or the one or the actual rear door, the window goes down, but then refuses to come up, leaving it fir maybe 15 seconds allows me to raise it for either button. But it only goes maybe 5-10cm, then stops. Releasing the switch and pressing again repeats the process until it's all the way up. I tried disconnecting the anti pinch sensor and with this removed the window winds up and down fine, without a delay, but again, only in 5-10cm intervals on the up run. I also get an error messadhe saying anti pinch failure if I leave it dos connected.
Final sumpt, if I use the remote key to close the windows, instead of rolling all windows up, the rear drivers side rolls fully down on the lock button, and on the unlock button. I'm thinking the antipinch sensor if door control unit is shot. Any thoughts?

check the big wiring connectors between the door hinges for corrosion.

I've disconnected it, it looks clean and tidy, no corrosion, or dodgy looking terminals, also dquirted a bit of contact cleaner in there.

Any other ideas?

Obviously the anti pinch sensor so I'd go to the rear controller node in the rear and check the aps resistance on the good side and make a comparison to the suspect one. I forget what the resistances are meant to be but a simple comparison should tell you what you need to know

Will give it a go at the weekend, any ideas on cost for a new one?

No idea on cost but there may not be anything wrong with it. It could easy be open circuit ie bad connection as your warning is wrong resistance/ return voltage









Here's some wiring diags to help you. K19 and K24 are the pinch sensors. M63 is the rear node

I'll try swapping sides over next weekend, if that fixes it then I'll get a new anti-pinch sensor, if not, I'll get confused!

That's a bit labour intensive
I'd simply check the resistance of each APS at the controller M63
If it was open circuit then i'd check out that door connector pins

The anti pinch sensors are a doddle to remove. They're just like push on window seals. Matter of minutes when the door cards are off!
