General Rear washer!!!! GRRRRR!!!!

After a recent string of issues with my 1.9 SPORTING (clutch went, EGR issues) I think I now have the dreaded broken rear washer pipe.

Found lots of soapy water in the passenger side rear light cluster the other day. The screen wash coming out of the rear jet has progessively getting slower and slower, and last night completely stopped working. Also had a look at the carpet in the boot and its rather damp.

Once I had a quick search around the forums I found out this is a pretty common occurence, but could find any useful pics of how to fix the problem.

I know the break is likely to be in the flexi tube between boot and tail gate. I could leave it alone, but if I can fix it myself I will, just need a bit of help, and some how to type photos would be great.

Is it easy enough to remove the parcel shelf brackets? What I can see is there are onluy two screws holding it on (or are there more somehere, or perhaps some clips. And how do I remove the white plastic trim?

I had the same problem recently. I split the flexi tube in the top left hand corner of boot (as you open it) and inside you'll see the black pipe. I then got hold of some vacuum pipe, put a spot of silicone on the black pipe and pushed the vacuum pipe over it tightly, the silicone once set held it aswell. Then i tape the flexi back up and rear washer works again.
