i just bought a 1.9 grande punto, its been lowered 40mm all round, but the rear wheels scrape on the arches, will new springs fix this or do i need to raise it up to 20mm?

there not standards, i think they are 17" alloys. im looking to buy some standard ones soon

i quite like the alloys on it now, gonna be too easy to curb, want to buy some Tjet alloys

Same here I prefer the t jet wheels to the m jet ones

They aren't t-jet and m-jet, the wheel design is related to age not engine. It just happens that most m-jets are older and have the early wheels whilst only the early t-jets (like mine) have the early (much nicer but a pain to clean) forked spoke wheels.

It does sound like offset might be the problem, is there a lot more clearance on either the inside or outside edge? I assume the wheels are 7j width?

Yeah I know that, just most m jets have the fork type alloys and t jets have the spoked wheel. My wheels are flaking a little in the laquer department

i dont actually know, i need to have a look, problem is i know almost nothing about fixing cars

how do you find out the width, ive just looked at my tyres and there 225/40 R18
