Hello,

a whiel ago i got 50mm springs from pi for my punto mk2b 1.2 8v and was told ot order shocks for them now i got the front and rear pi shocks for my car but the rear ones looks like this

That is not them but look the same i dont see how the springs go on them im confused can someone explain
 
They don't go over the springs, if you jack the car up and look at the existing springs you will see, tis a very easy job to swap rear shocks

its not to do with the actual spring, its because you'll notice the shock doesn't want to compress easily, and when it does it will try and extend.

if you lower your car, it will be sitting far lower than std, and putting this strain on teh shocks all the time, over time (as little as a few days/weeks, or 2-3 years, depending what cars like) the shocks will split and leak internally, eventually loose pressure and your car will pogo from bump to bump
