His everyone, I hope someone can help. This question is regarding seatbelt mounting points in a formerly camper ban converted fiat Double 1.9 nmultijet 120) 2008/9 - 58 plate.

I have fitted 3 rear seats as currently it only has the driver and passenger seats. I have bought the seats and belts form eBay.
The issue I have is the rear seat belt mounts. I have located the holes for the M10 bolts for the lower and top fixed mounts. I cannot locate the hole for the belt retractor (there is a smaller bolt hole in roughly the correct position but this doesnt seem consistent with the bolts on the belts - arrow and question mark).

I think the person who did the conversion has cut / ground off the retractor mounts (please see pics).

So my questions are:
1) Have the mounting points been removed?
2) If not then where are they?
3)If they have then what are my options for seat belt firmament (welding I presume)

I may be inclined to re-do the camper conversion as I wasn’t happy with it - layout, electrics and quality.

I love the van so will keep it as a 2 seater micro camper if I need to .

Thanks in Advance.

The pictures show the upper and lower M10 mounts and the smaller questionable mount).

Hello,

I have never looked at the Doblo's rear seat belts, so I have no idea how they are mounted, but here's what I could find online:

an eLearn doc on removal and installation:

It does not show what the seatbelt is attached to, but you can see the mounting method and more or less localisation. Looking at the window frame and the door seal shape and comparing it to the photos you've attached, it looks to me it's the correct place. Then, the torques will be useful :)

In ePER (which is the FIAT spare parts catalogue) I've found this:

With the marked part number I've found how does the seatbelt look like:

Looking at the installation instructions, I assume the bolt on the photo is in the wrong direction - but it might have been reversed in order to be able to lay the seatbelt reel on a flat surface.

Looking again at your photos I thought that this part:

might be the remains of the striker (marked as 2a on the eLearn doc). If so, there should be a cut on the right egde of the plate and on the 2 bolts. Looking quickly in ePER I couldn't find it :(

However the greyish 'box' above is on the way of the seatbelt, so probably I was wrong and the marked part might be a mounting point for the door rail - if so, it wouldn't have a cut on the right hand side.

The most important thing would be to find the part, possibly in ePER, in which someone butchered the rounded hole :D Because if that's the part where the seat belt is mounted, I'd avoid welding only the missing part. Which might make the repair complicated :(

Looking at another photo from internet:

Although it's not visible, I assume that the hole you are pointing at on the 2nd photo is the correct location of the bottom mount point.

Try finding some time to go through ePER (link is on the bottom of the forum banner) with the VIN of your VAN to find the number of the 'missing' part. My finds in ePER might be wrong as I don't have the VIN of the vehicle and there are numerous versions of the Doblo.

Thank you for your time and input. I shall have a thorough look with the vin and see what clues are revealed.
