Hi, I've managed to get a brand new genuine rear panel the other day as mine has rotted out. I've removed the rear bumper tonight and the original has an extra part. Do I need this part welding onto my new one? Cheers

This element is a support structure/jacking point for jacking the whole rear of the car, can be used as an "anchor" point for towing-rope ,it also is one of the mounting points for original towing hook.

That's a shame, would have been easier than trying to use the old one. Looks like I'm in for a big bill for all the welding. Fingers crossed!

Where do you base?
As there is number of forum members across whole UK who potencialy could do the work for you and don't ruin you budget.

I'm in Leicestershire. I need the rear of both sills patching, rear seat belt mount area, rear panel replacing, and four other places
