it goes the other way around mate, blue bit downwards looking at a pic that i have.it should be easy to tell for sure if you look under your car or when taking it of ull now for sure etc.

Flat metal bit that you have on the bottom goes onto the chassis. Other bit goes onto engine mount.

That's right, shiny side up. blue side down. It is possible to fit them the wrong way round, but they only last a month or so!

Ah, that depends. I have seen 10mm and 12mm.

Well thats fine if they are hex head im sure i will have a socket to fit.

They're allen type (recessed head). Usually 12mm, I've found. You can either buy a 12mm allen key from a decent engineer's merchant (useful person to chat up!) or various bits and peices to fit your socket set.

got my socket from halfords for about 5 quid

hmm. is that on trade ??

gearbox mount fitted.. doddle to do.
put it on the ramps, took the weight of the gear box with my jack.
Undid the 2 bolts holding the mount to the underneth of the body.
Took out the top bracket bolt hinged it on the lower bolt downwards.
Loosened and replaced with new mount, retightened the bolt in the centre of the mount.
and fitted in reverse.
Go on get your spanners out....
