General Rear Door Handles

The rear door handles on my 2012 Punto need to be pulled up almost forced tot he top of their travel before opening making many passengers think the car is locked, is this normal?

A not dissimilar thing happens on our car as well. Seemed to be worse when the weather was warmer, but it's still not perfect.

I have a funny feeling this was a common issue from the Grande Punto, but I'll leave someone else with more experience/knowledge to confirm!

Yeah the rear door handles are really flimsy on my Punto too

From which year is your car ?

The problem was on early Grande Punto (2005-2006), but after it was fixed.

My 2012 did not have this issue.

I had fixed an Grande Punto, perhaps can I make a guide if people are interested (need to remove door panel, handle).

my 2010 evo has weird rear door handles as well.. many times people think the car is locked

My series2 grande punto has the same issue too, dont think they ever properly fixed it
