Hello there, I need some help troubleshooting before I start throwing $$$, £££ or €€€ at a problem I may or may not have...

Recently I hear a buzzing sound that seems to come from the front of the car when activating the rear wiper or the rear washer pump. I am suspecting it might be a switch unit issue, also because my blinkers have started acting up for a while...the "lane change blinking" (don't know the correct term I'm afraid, when you just press the lever without clicking it) sometimes doesn't engage, while other times it engages after the lever returns to neutral position after a turn...

Is there any troubleshooting I can do to figure out if my switch unit is dying before getting into it?

On a side note, it seems a fairly straightforward process to change it, but is it?

Thanks in advance!!

Body Computer ("BSI") has some relays inside. Maybe some of them are bad, or there are "cold solder joints".
It is repairable, you probably don't need a new module.

Thank you for your reply! I tried to look up articles about the body computer and I am a bit confused. Is it the one that is hidden behind the glove compartment? I have to admit that the idea of messing with it makes my skin crawl, but I'll look more into it!

While looking for info on the body computer I also found a discussion about bad earth connections and bad batteries, and since my start&stop hasn't been working since I bought the car almost a year ago maybe I should start by replacing the battery and see if some of the issues go away
