So the other day the pipe on my maniverter completely split in two just before the flange to the centre pipe. Ive tried to salvage it with some putty to no avail. Ive been qouted about £180 for the job of new parts + fitting.

However I'm looking at "React" Maniverters direct from their website for £96 including fitting kit.

Does anyone have any opinions on these? Are they any good? ECP seem to stock the same brand.

Im quite happy to fit it myself as the haynes gives it 2/5 difficulty.

Is there anything I should consider? Has anyone had difficulties with fitting this?

Thanks for all the help and advice! :)

Fairly easy job.
Studs sometimes come off with the nuts.
Recommend some exhaust paste to middle pipe. There is a crush ring gasket, doesn't seem to be widely used. Remember new bolts/nuts to middle pipe.

Well it wasn't too hard fitting the cat. The bolts to the middle pipe needed some persuasion with a blowtorch!

I thought I'd give my experience of using react. I ordred from their website on a friday morning as it was the cheapest genuine cat I could find without going on ebay. Paid for next day delivery.

Waited on Monday for the item and it didn't turn up. Tried calling the number on their website during working hours on Monday. Everytime I called the answer phone, the message said to call back 9-6 mon-fri.... wtf?!?

Logging onto the website my order was pending and in the warehouse. I emailed them this time.

No response but on tuesday i finally managed to speak with someone there. No good rrason why their pho es weren't working. They didn't have a clue

They said my order had been missed. They were going to refund postage and deliver on wednesday. Also said id get a tracking number to follow my parcel.

On Wednesday, no email, no tracking. I get home at 3 to find its been delivered. Phew! Status on their website still says pending and no refund yet.

All in all I'd personally say avoid! They are basically eurocarparts anyway so next time ill click and collect somewhere local!

I suppose that's what you get at the bottom end of the market... I avoid Eurocarparts if I can. Presumably yours is properly type approved like they all should be after March 2001 (?)... if not that could explain the cheap price.

I've priced a new one for my Brava 1.2 16V 2001.. was about £120 from a decent UK manufacturer who are also on Ebay (maybe Eu:ROFLMAO:o?). Anyway I'm holding off for now since I just scraped through the MOT in December.
