I bought a new bonnet for my fiat punto mk 2 and sprayed over the primer with my colour code. after finishing it, it suprised me to see the bonnet was darker shade of paint to my car? i am guessing it is because the paint on my car has faded so do i need to t cut the car or do something to the bonnet? HELP!! Thanks.

you need to respray the bonnet in the right varient of your colour shade.
you cant t-cut it or anything, respray is only way.

mk2's paint is all clear coated, no ammount of polish will change the colour of the paint under the lacquer, unless you sat there for days and went through it of course.

What about when people de-badge the rear and they have to polish it all to match?! I don't get that then.
well its more due to the fact that the paint under the badges is not been polished before, and when all polished its all then shiney, but the colour will not change, just the shineyness.
So how do I go about finding the variant of my shade etc? If i go to a fiat dealershipwill they know and supply the paint?

well the bodyshop which sprays it will go through there book and hold it up and find the right one, then mix it up and mix in more colours to get it right.
