Hi All,

Few questions, hope some one can help.

1.4 12V SX - 72,000 Miles

I have noticed when driving in 5th gear, that recently it has started to wobble/vibrate more?

Any ideas why?

Also, when driving I have noticed that both the clutch and accelerator feel a little more, well they vibrate a little more as I can feel it through my feet.

Any ideas again?

And can anyone recommend a good exhaust garage in the north east UK?

Sounds like you may have lost a balancing weight off one of your wheels, or your wheels need balancing...have you nudged any curbs lately?

@ 72,000 miles i'd expect some transmission issues. Clutch possibly, maybe something intricate in the G-Box.

Thanks for the replies.

If I had lost a weight, would that not affect the steering and not the peddles?!

When you say something in the transmission, something I should worry about or natural with age?

Do you think I could have it fixed cheaply?

I think after 72,000 the type of thing going wrong will be 'natural', but that's not to say you shouldn't worry about it. Clutch will be 150 ish, but if you need the G-box out you could be looking at £300 +. Find a small garage you can trust rather than FIAT dealer because they will just replace everything badly and charge you lots for the pleasure.

Hey.

Driving home tonight, noticed the vibration through the peddles again

Its nothing major, but it vibrates more than I am used too.

What could it be?

If it just natural or the peddles need adjusting then great!

If not....eeeek!..Help!
