Radio has just STOPPED

Can anyone help! my radio has stopped working the tape is ok just no sound from the radio side!

A - Do you still have an ariel
B - Have you check the connection at back of radio is okay?
C - Have you checked the connection to the ariel base is still okay?

Is there any sound - crackle/fuzz when its on radio?

Could be a dead HU if there is no sound at all, but i'd check abc first

Sorry for the time In-between your reply. The radio dose crackle/fuzz when its on! Like I said the tape works ok, and then one day the radio was working and the next day it was not!! It will still scan but picks up no stations.
P.s what is the Hu?

I'm guessing he meant "head-unit" the actual box you see in the dash,

could be an aerial issue,FM does NOWT with no aerial,
have you tried MW / LW if fitted ?,

Tried them all ! /The radio is all in one, the hole thing pulls out.

still reckon it's not receiving anything..!!
( wether an Aerial fault) or possibly a fault inside the box..,
if it was receiving a signal the SEARCH / SCAN would lock onto normally strong local stations,

what vehicle..??
