Technical radio code input

I recently bought a fiat punto but the previous owner had, had some work done on it. The radio was not working and we did not have the code. We have now managed to get the code but when we switch on the radio the screen says wait. anyone got any idea's how to put the code in please?:bang:

Get a decent book / Magazine and a good sized cuppa

Sit in the car with the ignition on for about 30mins IIRC

DONT LEAVE THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION ALONE

Also dont leave the fans or lights on.... otherwise you'll get a nice flat battery
Crack the window open and you'll be fine

It's saying wait because the code input has been failed too many time and requires time to reset
